Forensic Art

Forensic art is an artistic technique used in the identification, apprehension, or conviction of wanted persons. A forensic artist needs to be able to draw using correct perspective, accurately render three-dimensional objects, and use imagination to reconstruct scenes, often with limited information – but still accurately placing the information that is available. Forensic art encompasses several disciplines including composite art, which is traditionally the most commonly known discipline of forensic art. The art of composite drawing has been used by police agencies throughout history; the classic wanted poster with a drawing of a “Bad Guy” comes to mind.

Artist Denise Pinkerton is a trained Forensic Artist, and can create a quality facial drawing after successfully gathering, interpreting and illustrating the information obtained from the interview process.
