Denise was born in Ft. Wayne, IN and relocated to Arizona where art classes started early in grade school, continuing up until now. After seeing metal art the first time, she knew her experiences in art and special instruction from Tim Tillia and Doyle Stanfill, a new media could be accomplished. Inspiration for her work comes from nature, books and other artists.
She is an award-winning artist and has had her work displayed in many galleries and public facilities. Recently, her piece “First Landing” was chosen to be displayed at the Redmond Airport and is available for purchase. She also has a beautiful piece called “Dawn of a New Day” featured in the 7th floor lobby of the Inn at Spanish Head.
Denise is a composite, forensic and pencil portrait artist.

“Protective Parents” took 3rd place at a 2011 Peoria, AZ show.
“Indiana Scene” took first place in the ‘drawings’ category at the Deschute’s County fair in Oregon.
“Giraffes” won an award at the Redmond, OR Juried show.
“First Landing” won an award at the Redmond, OR Juried show.
“Pioneer Mom and Son” took the 1st place Mayor’s award at Peoria, AZ Celebration of Artists.
“Arizona Sunrise” took 2nd place at Peoria, AZ Celebration of Artists.
